The music and themes used in BIPOC Ecstatic Dances often reflect and celebrate the diverse cultures and histories of these communities. \nThis practice creates a safe and inclusive environment where Black\, Indigenous\, and People of Color can dance without fear of judgment or cultural appropriation while focusing on healing and empowerment and providing an opportunity for participants to recover from stress and trauma. \nThese sessions are often organized by members of BIPOC communities and may be facilitated by leaders who guide the dance with music and occasional prompts while prioritizing personal exploration and expression.
