DESCRIPTION:Come join us for an invigorating 2.5 hour workshop that weaves together music and culture with an intense workout!\n\n\nJapanese Taiko drumming is a dynamic musical art form grounded in core aspects of martial arts and percussion. There is nothing like it! Participants will learn basic technique\, history and etiquette of taiko. The workshop is hands on with everyone playing and learning an original composition. It is a great physical and mental workout plus it is so much fun! \nPrice is $35. For ages 16 and older. Participants must be capable of rigorous activity.  \nPre-registration is required in order to reserve a drum – workshops are popular and have been wait-listed in the past so early registration is recommended.
