Chucktown Brewdown Beer and Homebrew Festival
April 18 @ 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
100+ beers. One afternoon. All brewed locally. Chucktown Brewdown is Charleston’s annual beer festival featuring 20 of the Lowcountry’s best up-and-coming homebrewers, all pouring in one place for one afternoon. Held at Fam’s Brewing Co. on James Island, it’s a chance to experience what’s next in Charleston’s beer scene. From crisp lagers and hazy IPAs to sours, stouts, and everything in between, you’ll move booth to booth from 1 to 5 p.m., meeting the brewers, finding your favorites, and exploring styles you won’t find on tap anywhere else. This isn’t your typical beer fest. These aren’t breweries you already know. This is where new ones get their start. Brewers who’ve poured here have gone on to open spots like Coffin Island Brewing and Wyrd Sisters Brewing, so you’re getting a first look at what’s next. New this year, a featured IPA competition where every team starts with the same base ingredients and takes it in their own direction. Live music keeps the afternoon moving. Tickets are $15 in advance, $30 at the door if there’s space left. Capacity is limited.
