Charleston’s Jamaica Independence Celebration Takes Over Castle Hall
Slip & Slides: Hill & Gully brings soccer, Jamaican food, Caribbean music and island energy to West Ashley on Monday, August 10.
Yumi Caribbean Links presents the Slip & Slides: Hill & Gully Jamaica Independence Party, a full-day celebration of Jamaican culture at Castle Hall.
The festivities include daytime soccer matches featuring Charleston vs. Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach vs. Brunswick, Georgia, along with Jamaican food, music and entertainment throughout the event. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their colors and ready to celebrate.
Music will be provided by Zumujay & Budspencer, Black Magic Sound System, Gronic International Sound and DJ Megzdon, with TT & The Crew bottle girls traveling in from Atlanta.
