What is tabby?
Tabby is a historic coastal building material used throughout Charleston and the Lowcountry dating back to the 1700s. Traditionally, it’s made by combining lime, sand, water, and crushed oyster shells—creating a beautifully textured and durable finish seen in historic homes, garden walls, and pathways across the <a href="http://region.

In this workshop, we’ll be creating a modern interpretation of tabby, using concrete blended with sand and real oyster shells to achieve that signature coastal texture and <a href="http://look.
