RIBBON CUTTING: New Tuition-Free High School Option for Summerville Students Seeking a Different Path to Graduation

On July 31, Lowcountry Acceleration Academy will celebrate the opening of a new public charter high school in Summerville designed to offer flexible pathways to academic success, and expand educational opportunities for students who face obstacles that have prevented them from progressing in high school or who need a different program to suit their particular life circumstances. The new Summerville location of Lowcountry Acceleration Academy will serve students who have previously struggled in or dropped out of traditional school, giving them the academic and personal support they need to earn their high school diplomas. Authorized by South Carolina Public Charter School District, Lowcountry Acceleration Academy serves Charleston-area students from two campuses, one in North Charleston and this new one in Summerville.
