Spring into Festival: Opening Night of The Charleston Festival

March 19 @ 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

There’s no better way to kick off spring in Charleston, South Carolina than with an evening in one of its most extraordinary historic gardens! Spring into Festival is the glamorous opening night party of Historic Charleston Foundation’s 79th annual Charleston Festival — and it’s set in the iconic walled garden of the Nathaniel Russell House, 51 Meeting Street, right in the heart of the Charleston Historic <a href="http://District.

The c. 1808 Nathaniel Russell House is one of the finest examples of Federal-style architecture in America and one of Historic Charleston Foundation’s most treasured preserved properties. As the Charleston sky transitions to dusk — sunset falls at 7:31 pm — the garden transforms into something truly magical: chandeliers and twinkling string lights by AV Connections draped overhead, sherbet-hued florals by Snyder on the tables and white metal carts, and bright Cointreau-orange umbrellas lending a breezy outdoor café energy. A decorative spring maypole strung with colorful streamers adds a festive, celebratory touch to the whole <a href="http://scene.
