Custom Slingshots and High-Powered Audio Take Over North Charleston for The Big Show
North Charleston is getting ready for a weekend filled with custom vehicles, competition and enough speaker power to announce each arrival before it reaches the parking lot.
The Big Show Charleston 2026 will take place from Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9, at Luxe Cigar Lounge on Ashley Phosphate Road. The gathering is being promoted as a showcase for custom Polaris Slingshots, baggers and high-level vehicle audio systems.
A Three-Day Custom Vehicle Experience
The Big Show is more than a traditional car meet.
The weekend brings together Slingshot owners, custom-bike enthusiasts, audio builders and spectators interested in seeing how sound, lighting and vehicle design can become part of one complete build.
Organizer promotions describe the Charleston stop as a major Slingshot and bagger experience featuring showcasing and high-level audio competition.
The official competition flyer also encourages participants to “bring the loud” and “bring the heat,” with multiple divisions designed to separate builds according to their speaker configurations.
Five Slingshot Audio Competition Classes
Competitors will be divided into five sound classes:
Featherweight
Participants may use up to eight 6.5-inch midrange speakers and one 10-inch subwoofer, with a maximum of nine total speakers.
Lightweight
This division allows up to eight 8-inch midrange speakers and two 10-inch subwoofers, with a maximum of 10 speakers.
Welterweight
Competitors may run up to ten 10-inch midrange speakers and two 12-inch subwoofers, with no more than 12 speakers total.
Middleweight
This class permits up to eighteen 12-inch midrange speakers and two 12-inch subwoofers, with a maximum of 20 speakers.
Heavyweight
The Heavyweight division takes a “run what you brung” approach. However, trailers and external attachments are not allowed.
The class system gives smaller and larger builds a chance to compete within their own limits while leaving the Heavyweight category open for some of the weekend’s most ambitious systems.

The Slingshot Audio Competition will be hosted by DJ D Nyce, who has been promoting the Charleston event through social media as part of the larger Big Show weekend.
Beyond the competition itself, attendees will have an opportunity to see customized Slingshots and baggers from builders and owners who have invested in sound, paint, lighting, wheels and other visual upgrades.
The result should be part audio battle, part vehicle showcase and part gathering for a growing custom motorsports community.
