Reggae Nights Return To James Island County Park This Summer
Charleston County Parks is bringing island vibes back to James Island County Park this summer with the return of the Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series.
The 2026 series kicks off Friday, May 29, and will feature four Friday nights of live roots reggae in the park meadow at James Island County Park. The concerts are open to all ages and are designed for guests to bring chairs, blankets, and enjoy an outdoor summer night with music, food, drinks, vendors, and community energy.

The 2026 lineup includes:
Friday, May 29 — Equal Rights Reggae Band
Friday, June 26 — Da’ Gullah Rootz
Friday, July 17 — Well Charged
Friday, August 7 — Mystic Vibrations
Each concert takes place at James Island County Park, located at 871 Riverland Drive. Gates open at 7:30 p.m., music begins at 8 p.m., gates close to incoming traffic at 10:30 p.m., and music ends at 11 p.m.
Food options from local food trucks and vendors will be available on site, along with beer, wine, Pepsi products, souvenirs, and gifts from crafters and vendors.
What To Know Before You Go
Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets for seating. The concerts will take place rain or shine.
Outside alcohol and coolers are not allowed. Dogs are welcome, but they must remain leashed at all times.
Tickets are sold per vehicle, making this an easy option for families, friend groups, and anyone looking for a laid-back summer night in the Lowcountry.
