Whether you’re heading downtown, exploring North Charleston, spending the day in Summerville, or looking for something happening closer to home, the Lowcountry is packed with events from Thursday, October 15, through Sunday, October 18.
This week’s highlights include IAAM Homecoming, Charleston Pride, The Resonance: A Night of Neo Soul & R&B, the Summerville Wine & Food Festival, the South Carolina Stingrays’ home opener, and dozens of local gatherings you might otherwise miss.

✊🏾 IAAM Homecoming 2026
October 15–17 | International African American Museum
The International African American Museum is celebrating Black history, heritage, family, food, music, and community.
Friday’s Legacy and Lineage Symposium takes place from noon–4 PM at the Charleston Marriott.
Saturday’s Homecoming on the Yard brings an afternoon of cultural celebration to the museum grounds from noon–5 PM.
The celebration also marks the debut of They Lived, an exhibition centered on seven enslaved people photographed in South Carolina in 1850.
Saturday’s community event is free, but guests should check reservation availability and timed-entry instructions before visiting.

🌈 Charleston Pride Weekend
October 16–18 | Downtown Charleston & North Charleston
It’s a full weekend of Pride celebrations!
Friday’s kickoff party leads into Saturday’s Charleston Pride Parade, beginning at 9 AM at Wragg Square.
Then the celebration moves to Building 64 for the free Charleston Pride Festival, running 11 AM–6 PM with performances, vendors, art, music, and headliner Kenya Pleaser.
An official after-party follows Saturday evening, with additional celebrations Sunday.

🎤 The Resonance: A Night of Neo Soul & R&B

Looking for live R&B and neo-soul this weekend?
The Golden Knot presents The Resonance, a night of live music featuring the Golden Knot Revue with Jessica Bevins, AnnaStaje, and Thomas Murray, hosted by Charles Miller.
Doors open at 6:30 PM, with the show beginning at 7 PM.

🎺 Charleston Jazz Orchestra: What a Wonderful World
Saturday, October 17 | 5 PM & 8 PM
Internationally acclaimed trumpeter Bruce Harris joins the Charleston Jazz Orchestra for a musical celebration of Louis Armstrong.

🍷 Summerville Wine & Food Festival
Saturday, October 17 | 1–6 PM
The inaugural Summerville Wine & Food Festival arrives at The Pickle Bar in Nexton.
The festival features eight wineries, six chefs, wine tastings, chef-created bites, and live music.
General admission is advertised at $65 before applicable fees, with wine tastings for guests 21 and older.
🏒 South Carolina Stingrays Opening Night

Hockey returns to North Charleston!
The Stingrays open their home season against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits at the North Charleston Coliseum.
The first 2,500 fans receive a commemorative magnet schedule.
