Shaq Is Coming to North Charleston: DJ Diesel to Headline Skinful Halloween 2026

One of Charleston’s biggest Halloween parties just landed a very big headliner — literally.

Basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal is coming to North Charleston as DJ Diesel to headline Skinful Halloween 2026 on Saturday, October 24 at Building 64 at Navy Yard Charleston.

The 21+ costume party will take over the massive warehouse venue from 7 PM until 2 AM, with organizers promising 20 musical acts across four stages, circus performers, dancers, immersive experiences and large-scale production throughout the night.

And yes — costumes are mandatory.

Shaq Trades the Basketball Court for the DJ Booth

Most people know Shaquille O’Neal as one of the most dominant players in NBA history.

But after basketball, Shaq built a second career behind the decks under the name DJ Diesel, performing at major festivals including Lollapalooza, EDC and Tomorrowland.

Now the DJ Diesel experience is headed to the Lowcountry.

O’Neal will serve as the marquee attraction for this year’s Skinful Halloween, bringing his high-energy DJ show to Building 64 in North Charleston.

For Charleston, it’s another major entertainment booking for a venue that has quickly become capable of hosting large-scale concerts and nightlife experiences.

The Skinful Halloween 2026 Lineup

Shaq won’t be coming alone.

The announced lineup also includes:

• Flagboy Giz
• Space God da Thug
• and additional performers across four stages

Organizers are advertising 20 musical acts in total, with Space God da Thug hosting the event.

Grammy-nominated Cuban artist Cimafunk adds another interesting dimension to the lineup, while Afroman and Riff Raff bring recognizable names from hip-hop and pop culture.

The result is shaping up to be much more than a single-headliner concert.

Skinful Is Building an Entire Halloween Experience

Skinful Halloween is being promoted as an immersive costume party rather than a traditional concert.

The event is presented by Building 64 and The Livity Foundation, with proceeds supporting the foundation’s work.

David “Big Hair” Brisacher, founder of Building 64 and The Livity Foundation, said the event helps support cultural arts programming and organizations doing work throughout the Lowcountry.

That gives the annual Halloween celebration a community component beyond the party itself.
