🏈 Charleston Southern University Homecoming — October 31
The Buccaneers are celebrating Homecoming this Halloween weekend!
Charleston Southern University welcomes Western Illinois to Buccaneer Field for a 2 PM kickoff on Saturday, October 31.
With alumni returning to campus, tailgating, reunions, and school spirit throughout the weekend, there’s plenty to celebrate beyond the football field.

🖤 Charleston’s Grand Gullah-Geechee Hoodoo Ball — October 31
Culture, heritage, spirituality, and celebration come together for the second Grand Gullah-Geechee Hoodoo Ball.
Hosted by the Charleston Hoodoo Society, this Halloween night celebration at Our Place on 17 features Gullah-Geechee cuisine, live entertainment, cultural expression, and an evening honoring the community’s rich traditions.
Formal attire is required, with African-inspired and other dress-to-impress styles encouraged.

💙 Xi Gamma Sigma Annual Oyster Roast Fundraiser — October 31
The Xi Gamma Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. hosts its second annual Oyster Roast and Fish Fry Fundraiser at Ashley River Park.
Expect oysters, food available for purchase, music, dancing, and a Halloween costume contest, all while supporting the chapter’s fundraising efforts.

🎡 Coastal Carolina Fair — October 29–November 8
One of the Lowcountry’s favorite fall traditions returns to Exchange Park in Ladson.
The Coastal Carolina Fair brings midway rides, fair food, entertainment, exhibits, and plenty of activities for the whole family.
The fair opens Thursday, October 29, and continues through Sunday, November 8.

Looking for Halloween fun beyond the usual parties?
Heritage Haunt brings three nights of family-friendly festivities to the Dorchester Heritage Center in Ridgeville, featuring haunted hayrides, trunk-or-treat activities, costume contests, food trucks, live entertainment, and more.

Friday brings Halloween parties and DJ sets across North Charleston and downtown, including events at Premier Lounge, Good Vibes Only, First & 15th, Pregame, Babylon, Playground Lounge, and Music Farm.
Saturday keeps the momentum going with Grown Folks Boo Bash, Haunted Fest featuring Knock2, Gasolina Halloween Party, and more festivities across the Lowcountry.

Next Round Social also hosts its Halloween Candy Crawl on Saturday morning, with activities designed for children ages 2–9 and their families. Admission is free, but registration is encouraged because space is limited.
