One Table Brings a World of Culture, Food & Live Performances to Park Circle Sept. 26

The Charleston Multicultural Festival will bring African drum and dance, Mexican folklore, Pasifiki and Philippine cultural performances, global food, local vendors and family-friendly experiences together in North Charleston.

One Table is no longer just a save-the-date.

With the performance schedule, food lineup and vendor roster now released, Charleston Multicultural Festival: A One-Table Multicultural Event is shaping up to bring a full afternoon of food, music, movement and cultural celebration to Park Circle on Saturday, Sept. 26.

The free, family-friendly gathering runs from 11 AM to 3 PM at the Park Circle Community Building in North Charleston, built around a simple theme: bringing different cultures together in one shared community space.

Six cultural performances are scheduled throughout the afternoon

The newly released performance schedule gives attendees a much clearer picture of what they’ll experience throughout the day.

Programming begins at 11:35 AM and continues nearly until the festival closes:

11:35 AM–12:05 PM — Wona Womalan
African & Drum Dance

12:10–12:30 PM — SOA Vocals

12:35–1:05 PM — Folklore Herencia Mexicana

1:10–1:40 PM — Lowcountry Pasifiki Dance

1:45–2:15 PM — Hiyas-Min Philippine Cultural Society

2:20–2:50 PM — Charleston Capoeira

That lineup gives One Table a genuinely multicultural performance program rather than simply using “multicultural” as a festival label.

Attendees will see traditions and creative expression connected to African, Mexican, Pacific Islander, Philippine and Brazilian culture represented over the course of the afternoon.

Food is one of the easiest ways to experience another culture — and One Table is making it a central part of the event.
