What’s The Move!? Things to Do in Charleston This Weekend: Sept. 18–20, 2026
Pickle Palooza, Sweet Tea Festival, Charleston Jazz, James Taylor, markets, football, brunch, nightlife and more fill another packed Lowcountry weekend
Charleston has no shortage of options this weekend.
From Pickle Palooza 3 stretching across all three days to the Sweet Tea Festival in Summerville, live music from James Taylor, North Mississippi Allstars and Charleston Jazz Orchestra, football watch parties, markets, brunches, nightlife and community events, the Charleston area is packed from Friday afternoon through late Sunday night.
Whether you’re looking for something family-friendly, a concert, a daytime festival, a sports crowd or somewhere to stay out late, here’s what’s happening around the Lowcountry from Sept. 18–20.
Weekend-long highlight: Pickle Palooza 3
One of the weekend’s biggest recurring events is taking over Cannon Distillery for three days.
Pickle Palooza 3 begins Friday with a kickoff party from 6–10 PM, continues Saturday with the main festival from 2–6 PM, and wraps Sunday with a brunch and market from 11:30 AM–3:30 PM.
If pickles are your thing — or you just appreciate a themed festival that fully commits to the bit — you’ve got three chances to stop by.

A few of our weekend picks
If the full list feels overwhelming, a few events stand out depending on what you’re looking for.
For a festival day, Sweet Tea Festival and Pickle Palooza are obvious choices.
For live music, Charleston Jazz Orchestra, North Mississippi Allstars and James Taylor give the weekend plenty of range.
For sports, Charleston Southern football, Charleston Battery and the college-football watch parties offer several ways to catch a game with a crowd.
And if your idea of the weekend starts after dark, Friday and Saturday are packed with R&B, house music, DJs, lounges and late-night parties across the Charleston area.
Plan ahead
Event details can change, so check directly with the organizer or venue before heading out, especially for ticketed events, weather-sensitive programming and events with limited capacity.
And if we missed something happening around Charleston, Summerville, North Charleston, Goose Creek, Mount Pleasant or the surrounding Lowcountry, send it our way.
Know Charleston. Find the move.
